Breath of Angel took a break :(

The book starts out strong; however, the trip to the king was very slow. Chapters 1 and 2 were very strong. The Chantress Melaia witnesses the murder of an angel by a hawk. The hawk is actually a man who is a shape-shifter. Afterward, Melaia is informed by Hanni and Benasin that the stories she had heard and even recited several times weren't just old legends and myths. They had some truth to them. An angel murdered by a shape-shifter and learning that the legends held a lot of truth made a strong background to build on. Chapters 3 through 7 promise Melaia and the readers theres a lot more to come and danger is imminent. With such a strong beginning 5 chapters is a bit too long to leave the reader hanging. Then again I guess it's not as bad as waiting a year for each new installment to come out! Waiting it out and hoping the action picks up in chapter 8 or at least very soon - not giving up yet!
